Big plummy and earthy fruit tones on the nose with a touch of wet fur and some spice and herb stem tones, almost thyme some soapy floral notes too, round and polished in the mouth with some aggressive, extracted tannins, nice acidity yields a slightly rustic wine but the intensity of the flavors matches the wine’s red plummy fruit, a touch simple but really the perfect style wine for burgers and simply smoked, fatty meats, A touch peppery on the backend with some refreshing watermelon rind notes, decent length, more melony fruit on the finish with a touch of sour apple. Fun 87pts

Wine Spectator ReviewRated 89Very juicy and enticing, with lushly layered plum sauce, black licorice, fig cake and boysenberry notes that glide over round tannins. Very tasty. Drink now.Wine Tasting NotesDark reddish/purple color. Intense aroma of black raspberries. This medium-bodied, very lively wine has loads of ripe red plum and black raspberry flavors with a slightly spicy character and a long, juicy finish.
