A beautiful wine. The nose is a little offputting in its booziness; you can really smell the alcohol over anything else, but the wine itself is crisp, just dry enough to make it a good rose, and still fruity and smooth, with hints of strawberries and a touch of almost wild berries. I did notice a significant fizziness, which is delightful in a lighter-colored wine and probably a product of the use of champagne yeasts in the production of this wine. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I'll be seeking out more Rose of Malbecs next time I'm shopping for a crisp wine.

This wine had an interesting pale red color that looked a bit like a watermelon gatorade. On the nose there was an abundance of alcohol followed shortly by strong scents of wild strawberrys. This was a very smooth, easy drinking wine brimming with flavors of sweet strawberry and young cherry. Full review below, Salud! http://malbeceamos.com/2011/12/16/2010-crios-rose-of-malbec/

Pale red. Strawberry on the nose, lifted by a citrus element. Supple and moderately sweet, with a plump texture but attractive sugar/acid balance to the dominant strawberry flavor. Easygoing, seamless rose with very good fruit, made via the saignée method.

Saturated, bright red-ruby. Pure aromas of strawberry jam, cassis and pepper, with a minty high note. Sweet, round and fruity, with good stuffing and ripeness; a step up in generosity of texture and richness from the 2008. Ripe tannins give support to the wine and extend its finish. An excellent value.

The 2009 Rose of Malbec is dark pink in color with an enticing nose of strawberry and cherry. Ripe, dry, and full-flavored, this delicious Rose should be consumed over the next 12-18 months.

Love the big handprint on the label as well as the burgundy color of this Malbec rosé, which ranks as one of the most consistent pink wines from a country (Argentina) that doesn't do rosé all that well. Winemaker Susana Balbo gets the size and tint from her Malbec fruit but manages to corral the bubble-gum sweetness and cloying weight that can afflict Argentine rosados. Crios is the right call for an Argentinean-style barbecue featuring empanadas, lots of salads and plenty of meat.

This rosé is deep cherry in color and made from the Malbec grape variety, which has been absolutely thriving in Argentina's Mendoza region lately. This is very easy to drink: ripe, soft, and full of dark berry fruit on the palate - black cherries and red currants. Susana Balbo and her husband have been making wine in Argentina for over 25 years, producing many excellent wines that are well worth a try.

The 2007 Rose of Malbec is medium pink with an expressive bouquet of strawberry and cherry. The wine is medium-bodied with lots of glycerin giving the wine a smooth palate feel. Dry in style, the wine has rich flavors, excellent acidity, and a lengthy finish. Drink this remarkably food-friendly wine over the next 1-2 years.

Winemaker's Notes:

A beautiful, deep, vibrant rose color. Has a surprising amount of glycerin and body for a rose wine, and beautiful aromas of fresh, ripe wild strawberries. On the palate, the flavors of strawberries and cherries come rushing in, accompanied by some spice notes and a clean, dry finish. This is the wine to serve with warm-weather meals when there is a mix of traditional white & red wine foods. Keep one in the fridge at all times and youll always have a delicious wine to enjoy with light snacks and cheeses. Best consumed in its youth.
