This 100% Willamette Pinot entices with its fruity, dreamy bouquet of bright red fruit. While it stays light on the palate, it provides no lack of cherry, chocolate and light oak flavor.
Has a fragrant nose redolent of cherries, mushrooms and just the right amount of "barnyardyness." Drink with duck breast in a cherry and red wine sauce.
Perfumed with ripe red fruit, violets and baking spices, followed by maraschino cherry and fresh summer strawberry on the palate. Cricklewood has always been one of the best values in California Pinot Noir, and this latest vintage (now with all Sonoma fruit) is one of their best in a while. Light-bodied, with silky tannins and refreshing acidity - this is a wine just about everyone can enjoy.
This grape has helped put Oregon on the map. In good years, like 1998, the Pinot Noirs here rival the best from California and many from Burgundy. Cricklewood's Pinot is surprisingly dark, and this concentration continues throughout the flavors. There's plenty of ripe black cherry, red plum, raspberry and spice, giving the wine body and richness. Try this beauty with salmon or roasted chicken.
