User Reviews for Creme de Lys Chardonnay
Add your reviewgreen apple and fruity to me. was hoping for a little more buttery as described at the store. acidic up front, but finishes smoother and shorter than expected at first sip. is a good value.
Given the top reviews, I was not impressed. It is a decent wine, not very buttery, nor does it pack a full bodied taste as I would expect from a top Chardonnay in this price range. It has a mild, one might say, weak finish. It was light on fruit and non-descript. I recall going to the bottle to confirm it was in fact a Chardonnay. It is not a bad wine by any means but it is not a memorable wine. I would expect many Chardonnay lovers would be disappointed.

I have been a Rombauer Chardonnay fan since 2007, the wine to me and some of my fellow wine snobs has lost some of it greatness over the past 2 years. Still good, and I thought I would never find a wine to compare it to untill now! I was in Oregon of all places at a wine bar called Sip, they had it as thier featured wine. My eyes lit up on the first taste my first thoughts where, wow this is great and it taste alot like Rombauer. Well when I got home to Califorina I bought a case and now have ordered 2 more. Last night just to confirm my taste buds on this, I invited some of my fellow wine snobs over for some wine tasting and they all loved it. They all liked the smooth vanilla flavor and the really close likeness to the 31.00 a bottle of wine. I would pay the price to have a really good wine, At 12.00 a bottle I can serve this to my guests. Mavbe its just a good year for this wine, for now Its my first choice. Happy Wine Lover
I was recently turned on to Chardonnay after starting my whole wine venture with Rieslings, Pinot Noir, and now Chardonnay. I must say that this is a win win in my book. Fabulous!!!
