The fruit was outstanding again from this vineyard. The palate is soft, full of ripe berry, cherry, raspberry flavors with a hint of oak, chocolate and the finish shows some tickling alcohol. Enjoy the wine with antipasto, pasta or lightly spiced dishes. Can be served at room temperature or slightly chilled 95 year old bush vines - dry grown. The deep ruby/purple-colored 2002 Grenache (from 97-year old vines) boasts a terrific perfume of exotic spices interwoven with hints of Chinese black tea, raspberries, and kirsch liqueur.
