Crane Lake is a value-driven brand produced by Franzia and Bronco Wine Company. The majority of these wines are produced in California, with some branching out into Australia (for Down Under Chardonnay and others). These are available in supermarkets and most retailers.
Smooth, fruity and very sweet, like drinking apple juice. Nothing special.
Four and a half glasses
This wine is so tasty with melon, cheese, fruit and good breads. I bought one bottle, chilled it, shared it, enjoyed it and went back and purchased the other 11 bottles. For a Moscato, it has a kicker 12.5%. It was that good, full bodied, smooth, sweet quality that I like in a fruity wine. It is wonderful also for just cold sipping on a hot summer evening.
I bought this in a bargain bin for $5.00...the clerk at the checkout said he had tried it and was surprisingly pleased for the price. I agree. Had it with pork and it was delicious! Enjoyed it very much...wish I had bought another one.
