Crane Lake is a value-driven brand produced by Franzia and Bronco Wine Company. The majority of these wines are produced in California, with some branching out into Australia (for Down Under Chardonnay and others). These are available in supermarkets and most retailers.
This is a solid wine, sure to please many. At this price, you cannot go wrong.
At less than $5 a bottle, this is an absolutely delicious white; in my tasting, it is comparable to and reminiscent of the excellent Riesling of St. Urbans-Hof (http://www.snooth.com/wine/st-urbans-hof-riesling-2009/) at a third of the price.
