Crane Lake is a value-driven brand produced by Franzia and Bronco Wine Company. The majority of these wines are produced in California, with some branching out into Australia (for Down Under Chardonnay and others). These are available in supermarkets and most retailers.
To me, this is a recognizably not-quite-dry-enough California wine, but it's sufficiently concentrated and it has a lovely flavor. I really like it. I got it at Publix for $6 and then I looked for more of it. It's easy and it tastes very nice. It's just a little sweet, though--like 98% of CA wines.
