What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Now, here's an interesting Romanian entry in the league of fine quality white cepages. An assembly of Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel and Pinot Grigio - Maiastru Blanc de Romania 2008 is a lively, floral, dry wine with aromas of elder, citrus and violets, medium bodied, with good finish and pleasant aftertaste of vanilla and grapefruit. It is a soft, rounded wine with fine acidity that goes well with fish and white meats, friendly character and easy to drink. Serve cold while still young!
