"Rating: 82/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. Surprisingly developed and dull for a wine of its youth

Rating: 84/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. More sugary than fruity with its sweetness and acids never quite in sync, this edgy and uneven Riesling might be commendable as a poolside quaff except for the pushy, citrus-pith bitterness that comes on hard at the finish.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Rating: 82/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. Surprisingly developed and dull for a wine of its youth, this one has lost its fruity direction, and, instead of the vitality and fruit that we expect from Washington, it smacks of kerosene, wood glue and grapefruity bitterness.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Exudes a pleasing aroma of nectarines and peaches. Its sweetness and acidity are well balanced, leading to a fresh, medium-bodied finish.

A real step down from the '04. It's still better than the winery's "Dry" Riesling, but it carries a bitter edge, like lemon rind. Fair value, good acids to balance out the residual sugar. There is nothing at all wrong with this excellent, citrusy Riesling, but it is simple, slightly sweet and fruity, without the nuances of the previous vintage.

There is an embarrassment of riches in Oregon and Washington when it comes to crisp, seductive Rieslings, but most of the good ones cost double this amount. Wonderfully fresh, lively and fruity, it delivers surprising complexity, with some sweetness (2.7% residual) but nothing sugary or cloying. The winery also markets (regionally) a limited-edition "Dry Riesling" which still clocks in at an off-dry-ish 1.5% residual. The regular version is the better of the two.

Winemaker's Notes:

Our Riesling exudes pleasing aromas of green apples, peaches, and honeysuckle. Its sweetness and acidity are well balanced and lead to a medium-bodied finish. The combination of high natural acidity and residual sweetness gives the wine good body, flavor and intensity.
