A floral nose with lychee nuts and citrus fruits leads to a similarly-flavored, semisweet palate. Blending in 11% Muscat Canelli enhances the natural fruitiness of this wine, which is a very pleasant quaffer by itself or with spicy Asian food. Drink over the next year.

Part of the Canandaigua Brands portfolio, this Yakima Valley winery makes a full line of varietally sound, fruit-driven wines. This vivacious Gewurz is bursting with floral and citrus scents and ripe, semitropical flavors. It's a great example of how well this overlooked grape does in Washington. And it is a slamdunk match for spicy-sweet Pacific Rim noodle dishes and satays, with just a splash of Muscat Canelli in the blend to bring out the orange blossom and tangerine flavors.

Yet another standout effort from this value producer. Clean, penetrating and varietal with layered, spicy fruit - lemon, lime, mint, anise, stone and earth in a marvelously complex array of flavors.

This straightforward gewürztraminer has lush pineapple flavors and a lean texture; for chicken satay.

Though it is almost pure Gewürzt (just a splash of Muscat for the sweet aromas), this does not show the sensuous floral perfume of the grape. It's decidedly citrus-flavored, specifically grapefruit, along with green apple and pineapple.

Fresh and forward, bursting with floral and citrus scents and ripe, semitropical flavors. A splash of Muscat Canelli in the blend brings up the orange blossom and tangerine flavors.

Winemaker's Notes:

The nose is very floral, perfumey and lemony, and the spice and lychee flavors come through clean on the palate, making it the perfect wine to quaff ice cold on the patio on a sunny summer afternoon.
