Cousiño-Macul Sauvignon Blanc 2010
Of a Light Golden color with steely and bright notes, this Chardonnay has very delicate and elegant slightly floral notes. Fruity aromas of pineapple and apple are sensed. In mouth it presents a firm body. It is full, rounded and has a long finish. In general this wine is great company for seafood such as parmesan clams, sushi and fried white fish such as sole, sea bass and conger.
Editorial Reviews for Cousiño-Macul Sauvignon Blanc
A fair amount of toasty oak greets the nose along with lots of dried herb character and black currant fruit. This is smooth and fairly opulent in the mouth with a nice base of rather well managed tannins and good acidity that supports lots of plummy and black currant fruit. This turns a bit extracted and bitter on the long finish. This has a certain blend of polish and extraction that will appeal to many but come off clumsily to me. 86pts

Aromatic layers of spice and toast lead into flavors of blackberry, cherry and toasty oak. A medium-bodied wine, the texture is full and rich with well-integrated tannins that will stand up to smoked or grilled meats.
A ripe and juicy style filled with plum and blueberry accents. Great with outdoor grilling and in particular, BBQ ribs.
An intense, youthful ruby in color, this wine displays lovely scents of black currants and spices. Smooth and complex in the mouth, it shows good fruit and soft tannins and will complement red meat dishes, grilled foods and barbecue. Don't forget to allow this one to breathe for a little while.
One of our best values in Cabernet Sauvignon. It has remarkable concentration and style, with blackberry and plum fruit and notes of violets and chocolate. A Chilean First Growth.
Aromas and flavors of balckberries, cherries and cocoa, ending with spices and black truffles.
Excellent quality from one of the most consistent wineries in Chile. This is a full-bodied, dark-fruited, earthy red wine with ripe tannins.
