opaque dark ruby, nose in a much warmer register with baked cherries, funky moist earth, diesel exhaust, creosote, harb rubber, jammy blackberries, vitamins, gamy lamb with rosemary, impressive complexity if built apon a base of over-ripe fruit - bigger in the mouth, sweet yet not overtly fruity, acidity is a touch low, bit minty and vanilla indistinct dark fruits, drying finish is a bit pruny yet there are refreshing notes of chalk and tobacco/dried herbs, a long finish that turns loose and indistinct then returns with notes of green pepper and roasted fennel. I don't really like this wine, it has aromatics and flavors that i like and admirable complexity but it feels as though it was assembled. I know people who would like this though but for me it's not very good.

One of our best values in Cabernet Sauvignon. It has remarkable concentration and style, with blackberry and plum fruit and notes of violets and chocolate. A Chilean First Growth.

Excellent quality from one of the most consistent wineries in Chile. This is a full-bodied, dark-fruited, earthy red wine with ripe tannins.

Opaque purple in colour, this Estate Cabernet offers aromatics of ripen blackberries, plum, herbs and cacao. Medium in body and light tannin, it captures the essence of Maipo Valley fruit. In the mouth, the flavours continue the blackberry-blueberry themes with hints of cassis and black olives. Its lingering finish echoes the black fruits and ends on a tangycherry brightness. With time in the glass, this Cabernet unfolds beautifully, suggesting it can be enjoyed in its youth or cellared for 2 to 5 years.

Eleganter Duft von Cassis, Rauch und Brombeeren, klare Frucht, zartsaftige Fülle, ausgewogene Art, geschliffene Tannine, dezent eingewobenes Holz, würzig, lang anhaltendes Finale.

This red blend is deep, dark, and complex. Blackberries, violets, and cocoa abound in the bouquet, followed on the palate by cherries, rosemary, and black truffle. This has a lengthy, spicy finish with subtle tannins.

Wine Tasting NotesThe Cousino-Macul Finis Terrae is a wine of place. It is a clear reflection of the Maipo Valley terroir expressed through the finest Maipo-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Dark garnet, this wine exhibits a complex aroma of blackberry fruit, with lovely highlights of violets, dark plum, cocoa powder and vanilla spice. On the palate the black fruits blossom and yield to flavors of cherry, rosemary and a hint of black truffle. The slightly firm tannins carry over into a lengthy, spicy finish. This wine can be cellared for at least a decade; and because it was bottled unfiltered, it will benefit from being decanted an hour before being served.
