Editorial Reviews for Coto Rosado Roséwein Bodega Coto de Imaz
Dusty and dry o the nose like a parched field with background notes of sweet oak, dried cherries , cocoa vanilla, and some green anise seed like spice. Light and bright on entry with a small wave of sweet fruit following directly behind the bright acidity. This is a perfect medium weight Crianza with a fine balance of red fruit hinting and raspberry and a classic oak underlay. A touch simple on the palate and showing fairly dominant oak induced spiciness on the moderately long finish. Elegant and refined, this is a rather safe, easy drinking Crianza. 86pts
This is a nice, easy sipping rose that will be great for the warmer weather. Lots of red berries on the nose and palate, with just a hint of dryness. Finish is very light.
This is a great super market wine...A good everyday wine. The reviews are spot on above...In Spain this is about a 4 euro wine and it is very classical in taste...slightly musky and rustic on the nose. If this is your first Spanish wine...it only gets better!
Importer notes:This wine is made from 100% Viura grapes grown in Rioja Alavesa, a subregion of Rioja with limestone-rich soils that contribute aromatic richness and elegance on the palate to its wines. The Blanco is made utilizing a cold pre-fermentation maceration for 12-24 hours to extract optimal color, aroma and texture from the grape skins. Then, there is clarification and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tank for 15 days. Bottling occurs early in the next year. Tasting Notes: Pale gold-yellow with greenish hues, the wine is intensely aromatic, well balanced, with body and the fruit has a refreshing tart character. El Coto Blancos pleasant acidity combines perfectly with an exquisite aftertaste of flowers, fruit and fine herbs. Food Match: white meats, sushi, shellfish, scallops, salads, pork, fish, Antipasto
I like this wine, Plumey, a little oak, smooth, relatively soft tannins. A medium to mild finish but all in all a good wine for the price.
Cansina dice que esta mu rico.

Only slightly reedy and sharp on the nose. After that, the wine shows nice fruit and balance throughout. There are snappy cherry and raspberry flavors, and the finish offers proper finality in the form of light oak and cleansing acidity. Drink now for an easy taste of Rioja.
