Côtes du Rhône Blanc "Les Abeilles"

External Review by Palm Bay International:

Les Abeilles Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2010 - 87 points, International Wine Cellar/ Pale yellow-gold. Pear skin, honey and herbs on the pungent nose and palate. Dry and tightly wound, with modestly concentrated orchard fruit flavors and a touch of bitter citrus pith. The smooth, broad finish leaves a slightly warm poached pear note behind.

Les Abeilles Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2010 - 87 points, Wine Spectator / This has nice weight, but it's also really fresh, with a creamy melon core and a blanched almond frame to keep the wine honest through the finish. Clairette and Roussanne.

Les Abeilles Blanc 2013 - 88 points, Vinous/ Pale yellow. Fresh orchard and pit fruit aromas are sharpened by lemon pith and white pepper. Fleshy and dry on the palate, offering bitter pear skin and honeysuckle flavors joined by a deeper touch of nectarine on the back half. Finishes with good cling and bite, repeating the lemon and pear notes.

Jean-Luc Colombo Les AbeillesBlanc 2012 - 87 points, Wine & Spirits/ Rich yet firm, this is juicy with spiced pear flavor. Chill it for seafood sausages.

Les Abeilles Blanc 2008 - 88 Points, Best Buy, Wine Enthusiast/ This blend of 40% Clairette, 30% Grenache Blanc, 20% Viognier and 10% Roussanne offers up delicate lemony scents alongside hints of pineapple. It's a medium-bodied white, displaying freshness and finesse in its citrus, pear and melon flavors. Drink it over the next year.
