This is big, but wonderfully balanced with plenty of acid buffering the sweetness. On the palate there are layers of rich raspberry and red plum fruits that turn a touch blacker on the finish. There are hints of dried black cherry, earth and fudge. Not terribly complex but with tons of ripe fruit and a lovely, zesty character. 88pts

Pop and pour. Tested at 74 deg F. This wine was very good straight from the bottle. Probably should drink now, not sure waiting is needed or advised. Inviting and rhone-like brambly and smoky red fruit on the nose with some distinct notes of barnyard and vineyard dirt. Clean berry fruit (red raspberry, cranberry, blackberry, not too much cherry or plum) on the palate, with hints of sweet warm spices (pepper, licorice, perhaps a touch of ginger or cardamom), that finish with an echo of the red fruit, spice, and oak in an aromatic and lengthy finish. Had a good acid bite to balance the fruit and spice. Body medium minus, acid medium, tannin medium or lower. Probably good with slightly spicy mediterranean cooking which is also well-balanced in its mix of ingredients. Really good QPR.
Pine needle, cherry and lilacs on the nose. Lighter bodied than I was expecting, the key flavors are cherry, blueberry. Medium tannins on the finish, with a touch of mint.
Perfect with rich chocolate desserts and a very reliable wine in general throughout vintages. Sweet, with notes of chocolate covered red fruits and sweet spice.
Fresh, strawberries, bright. Great wine to have with fish or any summertime food.
I will be blunt, it was very good, but it was just not my favorite wine. It does have an elegant bottle, and what I believe is actually braille on the label - an interesting feature I've not seen before. The actual product is a rich dark cherry red, and crystal clear when held to the light. The aromas are moderate by my standards, and relatively youthful. Let this wine air for a while in a decanter and it should improve. Cellar it for three years and it may be fantastic. There is a distinct scent of cherry but little more in the nose aside from the grape. In the mouth, there are easily detectable notes of cherry. A moderate cassis tartness tingles the taste buds. This, like many of the wines you will read of here, is certainly dry and acidic, but I felt this was a good taste of fruit without being sweet at all. It definitely has some body to its flavor as well. The flavors linger for about 5 seconds and dissipate with a slight warmth. This is a very good wine to be sure, but it lacked some of the complexity I look for. I would have no problem serving it in my home, but I probably wouldn't give it as a gift. Weingut: M. Tiefes Purpur. Komplexe Aromatik wie Cassis/Pflaume/Zimt/Kirsche. Breitschultrig, alkoholreich. In Duft, Geschmack und Abgang herrlich nuanciert. Mehr Muskeln als Eleganz.
Chapoutier’s most basic Hermitage, this is showy and succulent without being blowsy in the least. The fruit is black and red, juicy and alive, generous yet underlined by firm, savory earthiness and a supple leather note. While it may be hard to resist now, this is built to last: Best to wait at least until 2015.
The Chapoutier family have been making wine in the Rhône Valley since 1808, but it is since 1990 when Michel Chapoutier came to the helm that the wines really began to speak of their origin. Michel Chapoutier’s viticultural vision is highly impressive. His dedication to understanding each parcel of land and allowing it to make the best natural wine it can is breathtaking. He has worked tirelessly to improve every practice in his company investing in his staff as well as in the winery and vineyard - much of his estate is now farmed biodynamically. Indeed he has also created dynamic projects outside of the Rhône, examples of which can be found here from Roussillon, where he sought old vines and Australia, where his particular interest was the soil. This entire range is the fruit of extensive research and Michel Chapoutier’s labour. This exceptionally summery dry Rosé made wholly from selected Cabernet Franc vines offers a wealth of raspberry fruit and a fresh, leafy characters. Have a glass on your terrace as an aperitif or enjoy it with a meal. This dry rosé is a typical Cabernet Franc. It goes perfectly with raw vegetables, salads and grilled meat - the perfect summer wine!

This wine is a sweet dark red that is rich in tannins. The flavor is primarily cherry with other darker fruits, with a long, full-bodied finish that leaves its drinker satisfied.
