Cote Rotie le Village Michel & Stephanie Ogier 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

92 Points, Josh Raynolds, Vinous: "Inky ruby. Fresh, spice-tinged red and dark berries, cherry cola, olive and potpourri on the highly perfumed nose. Intense cherry and black raspberry flavors and suggestions of candied violet and cracked pepper that gain power with aeration. Finishes smooth, lively and quite long, displaying slow-building tannins and repeating floral character." 03/16 90 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another fresh, elegant, yet classy and well-made wine is the 2013 Cote Rotie Le Village. Coming from the younger vines of the estate and geared for upfront and early drinking, it has loads of charm in its violets, spice box, smoked meats and assorted berry fruits. Medium-bodied, with bright acidity and ripe tannin, it can certainly be enjoyed now, but I also think it will drink nicely for a good 7-8 years as well." 12/15
