This Côtes de Castillon from the acclaimed 2009 vintage is, well, now Côtes de Bordeaux Castillon. No matter; the result is still very good. This wine obviously has at least 25% of the blend other than Merlot with so much coffee and cherry cola on the nose. On the palate, the good integration and ready-to-drink attributes with delicious plum pudding flavours and a satisfying medium finish are certain to please everyone. Maybe a bit too hollow to be a "stunner", this wine is nevertheless very good - especially given the price. Buy a case. 89 points.

Beautiful nose of crushed blueberries and raspberries. Full-bodied, with soft and velvety tannins and lots of pretty fruit. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Chateau Cote Montpezat Cuvee Compostelle 750ml

The nose is very attractive with nice complexity and layers of aromas with nicely integrated oak scents underneath. The palate mirrors what the bouquet offers up showing some juicy oak and very fine tannins. This is a very complete, harmonious wine a... Chuck Hayward.
