User Reviews for Cosentino Winery Red Blend Napa County Legends Meritage

Winemaker's Notes:

More Merlot than Cabernet, this wine is bright, tight, and focused. It is very young and evolving and will continue to do so dramatically throughout 2007. From then on it will gain richness and complexity for several more years. Upon opening one will note the spice black rose and mineral elements first. As it remains open for 30-60 minutes it will become more defined with white pepper, allspice, pomegranate, red currant, and cherry notes come out of it. This will over time become a very complex wine. The lots were primary punch cap fermented in half ton bins between 7-11 days. Small lots were tank fermented. Each was barrel aged separately in primary French oak for 29 months. They were blended and racked before bottling, unfined.
