What to Expect

The classic Bordeaux blends rely on either Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon for the bulk of the wine with additions of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec helping to add complexity, color, body and structure to the finished wine.

Winemakers Notes

Our flagship wine holds the distinction as being the first recognized American Meritage. We blend Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot just before bottling.

Black roses, a trace of clove, mineral, and cedar in the nose. Deep ruby color. A bright balanced wine with structure and richness. Youthful with tart cherry and currants up front, bright and polished in the middle with spice, minerals, and pomegranate that evolve into a long spicy finish.
