At dinner - This is fairly rich yet nicely tense in the mouth with rich fruit backed up by firm yet polished tannins. There's some obvious wood spice here but the earthy fruit definitely has the upper hand and give the mid-palate and finish a fine,balanced impression of fruit and mineral spice. Really powerful flavors though the wine gains an attractive lightness on the palate as it opens. 91pts
