Cornas Vielles Vignes Alain Voge 2007

External Review by WineExpress.com:

A rare and expressive Northern Rhone red. 100% Syrah, Alain Voge is a legendary producer in the region. His new winemaker Albert Mazoyers is producing stunning results from his old vines vineyards. Wine Spectator scored it 93 and Robert Parker rated it 91-93 saying "The superb, dense purple-colored 2007 Cornas Vieilles Vignes exhibits aromas of incense, blackberries, scorched earth, and roasted meats. This long, full-bodied, savage, but civilized offering possesses layers of concentration, superb purity, and a long, tannic finish. It should turn out to be one of the top wines of the vintage in this appellation. Moreover, it will last 15-20 years where well-stored." Extremely Limited!!
