This smells a touch sweet at first then very fruity and very Tempranillo-like with a nice sandy, dusty soil tone and a broad array of herbal, tobacco and floral background aromatics. There is a touch of VA here and it is a bit dirty, but in a good way making this penetrating and complex. A little sweet on entry but nice acidity and well judged tannins quickly bring this into focus with bright fruit that features red raspberry fruit enlivened by dry, dusty earth tones, and spicy orange ring/herbal notes and even a touch of green chili lurking This is very fresh and fruity yet a slight astringency offers cut but is not enough to become bitter. The nice cleansing finish shows a touch of vanilla and floral perfumes that recall dried roses. A very solid offering. 91pts

Inky dark again on this vintage, deep at the core, with a nose that is restrained and more charcoally, Lush in the mouth with a softness that hides deep tannins and a medium acidity. Pencil lead notes and minerals remind me of Bordeaux with a tightness that needs a couple of hours to give up it's secrets.

Deep black fruit aromas with a hint of sweetness, and a bit of heat but not unpleasant. Rustic oak and blackberry flavors, soft tannins, smooth and pleasant, with a hint of eucalyptus on the finish. Good value!

Pale but nice red, with a nose that is sour not in a bad way but rather a cranberry way! A bit of light cream comes in for an austere nose that once in the mouth screams TCA :-(

Fruity nose of bananas and cake. Nice acidity keeps the cherry, and strawberries in check. Quite nice.

This wine has bright fruit flavors and aromas of blackberry and blueberry. light smoke and vanilla take a light hand to round out the fruit producing a wine that is not only fun to drink, but very food friendly. The finish lingers on the tongue with blueberry and caramel balanced with good acid making it a versatile wine with food- something that I like to see in wine.
