Winemaker's Notes:

Purpur-Granat. Offener Pflaumen-, Kirschen- und Kaffeeduft. Füllig im wärmenden Gaumen, vielschichtig und druckvoll. Herrlich langes Finale.

The Coppo family history intertwines with the development of the City of Canelli, which in the early 1900s had already established itself as the Capital of Italy’s famous sweet sparkling wine Moscato (Muscat). The region was also rich in Barbera, but the family followed the trail of sweet bubbles for a little over a century and consolidated. Thus it is under the auspices of Moscato that at the turn of the century, founder Piero Coppo begins producing sweet sparkling wines that become a distinctive mark of ‘made in Italy’ long before Anglo-Saxon custom coined the phrase. Piero is succeeded by his son Luigi, who enlarges the family business equipping it with the instruments and facilities needed to compete in a difficult but growing post-war market.
