This is the first time I have ever had any Missouri wine, and boy is it a surprise. The color of this merlot is inky! The nose carries notes of anise, sour cherry and mustard. Very interesting indeed. On the palate it is fairly dry. If this is something you like in your wine, by all means check this out! It has unique flavor characteristics as well, such as rye bread and sauerkraut. Scintillating.
