Cool Coast Sauvignon Blanc Casa Silva 2011
Editorial Reviews for Cool Coast Sauvignon Blanc Casa Silva
Grassy, jalapeño, a little asparagus, grapefruit, cats pee, zesty in the mouth, nice cut here, salty, lean and focused, slightly pith citrus character, little leesy on the midpalate, nice. It on finish, almost peppery finish, good length, light peach and grapefruit pith finish, tense stuff, 89pts
Casa Silva is one of the pioneering wineries exploring the coasts of the Colchagua valley in Chile, where it is much cooler than in the inland valley. The are planting Sauvignon Blanc and the Cool Coast Sauvignon Blanc is the result! I love this wine, the crisp striking acidity and refreshing notes of lemon, lime and just a hint of bell pepper give this a depth of character that is unlike many Sauvignon Blancs from around the world.
