Conundrum White 2008
Wine Spectator: This delicious blend of five white wine grapes (Chardonnay, Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Muscat) is one of the best of its type from California. It's a complex wine, with an array of ripe, concentrated flavors--pear, honey, fig, vanilla, peach and nectarine, finishing with lots of character and a dash of spice. Delicious.
What is that wonderfully robust, floral and bright tropical taste? Is it green apple, tangerine or honeysuckle? Could it possibly be apricot, melon, pear or light vanilla? That’s the Conundrum. Our proprietarily blend of California white grapes create a lush, creamy texture that leads to the mouth-watering question, “Mmmm, what’s in there?” We’re not telling. Can you guess?
This was a fun one. Sweet on the front end, but not coying. There was spice in the mid-palate and a creamy texture. Crisp finish. Lovely.
still great but just a touch sweeter than i remember.
I liked this wine and guessed (before looking it up) that it had some muscat in it (one of my favorite grapes). I had not tasted it for a long time because I believed it was way overpriced in the high-$20's. I found it "on sale" for $17 and decided to try it. It's a good change of pace white, with lots of tropical and other fruity flavors, slightly off-sweet. But even at $17 it's not a great buy.
seven grape meritage, and one of the easiest whites to drink. fruity sweet, not sugary. super refreshing, perfect for girls night out! i always have a bottle of this in my fridge, and it never lasts long!
Full body, trace of fruit and sweetness. Good nose
Sweet and smooth. Enjoyable with a spicy meal like Cajun catfish.
Three and a half glasses

Fine white wine- 2008 - Caymus Conundrum - USA - Region: California - Apellation: Napa Valley - Chardonnay blend - 750 ml.
This white blend is a must-try for fans of full-bodied Chardonnay who are looking for something a little different. Flavors of ripe fruit and nuts abound here in an extraordinarily rich texture. It's just one more example of great winemaking from Caymus.
Gorgeous aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, and vanilla and lime zest enhance a deeply-flavored palate of tropical fruit, peach, pear and honeydew melon flavors. The complexity of this wine is brought into balance with a rich, round, soft texture; fresh, supportive acidity; and a stunning, satisfying finish.
