Rating: 91/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the August 2010 issue. Deep and brooding on the nose with elements of black fruits, sweet cream, smoke and toast combining for a rich and riveting start, the 2007 Continuum is a deep and very flamboyant wine that holds nothing back. Very ripe and very full-bodied, but also uncommonly well-balanced for a wine of its temperament and size, it has plenty of fruity muscle with which to buffer its ample tannins, and it does a fine job of hiding its heat. It is not now nor ever will be a delicate wine, but aging will prove that its richness does not rule out refinement.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Cellar for future drinking. Wine will improve with bottle aging.

Winemaker's Notes:

Tim Mondavi and family strive to join the pantheon of cult wine with this delicious Cab-based Bordeaux blend. Shows rich dark chocolate mocha and espresso along with a wealth of ripe currant-laced Cabernet fruit. Focused elegant and stylish with a persistent finish that keeps unfolding to reveal hidden nuances. Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. [96 pts Wine Spectator on the 2006 vintage]
