Editorial Reviews for Continuum By Mondavi Napa 96ag Premier
Ripe and jammy on the nose with a nice base of well judged mocha, vanilla oak and a dusting of clove over soft, slightly minty black currant fruit. This is rather bright on entry with rich ripe prune and blackberry flavors supported by vibrant acidity, almost too vibrant in that it lends a citrus cast to the palate., though it does make this easy to drink. The ripeness eventually breaks through the acid barrier and the wood adds its weight on the backend before this fades on a modest, slightly dry and woody finish. Still it easy to drink and the freshness combined with the powerful fruit makes for an attractive package, though it tastes a bit like black currant jam on toast with cinnamon sugar. 89pts

Fresh and youthful with lively acidity and abundant fruit. Aromas of zesty citrus and green apple mingle with a hint of coconut and subtle oak. Richly layered flavors unfold in the mouth: lemon, green apple, pear, pineapple and creme brulee.
The elder son of Peter and Blanche Mondavi, Marc Mondavi was born in 1954 and caught the family winemaking bug early in life, holding his first official winery position at age 10.
Bright red-ruby. Reticent nose offers cassis, spices and chocolatey oak, plus a touch of minerality. A juicy, spicy midweight with good intensity and spicy/herbal lift to its cool cassis and blackberry flavors. Finishes with substantial fine tannins and very good length. Plenty of definition and energy here: this is excellent for a wine made in large volume. Lots of elegance in this Cabernet. It's dry, full bodied and rich in tannins, with a good depth of black currants and sweet, toasty oak. Won't age, but who cares: Pop the cork and drink it now. Graceful and elegant, with a chewy edge to the dried currant, red berry, mineral and cedar notes. Easy-drinking and pleasant. Drink now through 2016. 51,807 cases made. -JL
Robert Mondavi often said that wine should be restrained - should whisper, not shout. In that tradition, we've created a Chardonnay of remarkable freshness and vibrant purity of fruit - tropical, lively citrus, fresh pear and honeydew melon - lifted by buoyant natural acidity. Well-integrated oak supports the assemblage of fruity flavors from the vineyard with hints of roasted hazelnut, crème brûlée and smoke followed by a long, creamy finish. - WineryVarietal composition:97% Chardonnay3% Sauvignon BlancTotal acid: 6.7 g/LFinal pH: 3.4Residual Sugar: 0.57 g/LAlcohol: 13.5% by volume
A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2010 Mondavi, Robert Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 750ml
Bright, deep red-ruby. Aromas and flavors of cassis, black cherry, graphite, licorice, menthol and bitter chocolate. Suave, sweet and concentrated if a bit youthfully aggressive and medicinal in the early going. But this has excellent energy and intensity, and classic Oakville character. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and lovely rising perfume.
Robert Mondavi’s juicy, dense purple-colored 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot and 1% Malbec. It offers lots of creme de cassis, Christmas fruitcake and spice notes as well as a full-bodied mouthfeel, building incrementally to reveal abundant rich, cassis fruit, good acidity and sweet tannin. This beautiful Cabernet should drink well for two decades or more.
"This has been an impressive, serious wine since the debut vintage, and Tim Mondavi's estate high on Pritchard Hill has fashioned a 2010 blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, 11% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot. Gorgeously ripe, intricate and nuanced, with aromas of spring flowers and red and black fruits, a stunning texture, sweet tannin, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and undeniable elegance and finesse, this complex beauty cascades over the palate without a hard edge to be found. It is a tribute to Mondavi-s long resume of skillful winemaking. Black currants, blueberries and a touch of raspberries are all compelling and persistent. Drink this gorgeous Napa red now and over the next 15+ years...97" WA 10/13 "Graphite, crushed rocks, wild flowers, pencil shavings, licorice and menthol all take shape in the 2010 Continuum. Here, it is the wine's tension and energy that are front and center. The 2010 isn't a huge Continuum, but it is among the most refined, polished wines that have emerged from this hillside estate on Pritchard Hill. The clean, mineral-infused finish leaves a lasting impression. Readers should be prepared to age the 2010 for at least a handful of years...96" Antonio Galloni 11/13
