A bit cloudy in the glass. The nose is a bit beefy but with intense and complex aromas that features notes of licorice, hot rocks, briar, seared wild cherry, and rich soil tones. In the mouth this exhibits quite an acid spine at first though it is slowly subsumed by the rich core of earthy, leathery, wild cherry fruit. The finish is very long and powerful with notes of licorice, minerals and medicinal herbs complimenting the lingering fruit. A great bottle of wine 94pts
