Consilience Zinfandel Contra Costa County Port 2002
We have always had good results from Consilience, so we couldn't wait to try this fortified Zin / Port. Priced like a dessert wine it may be a bit pricey for just a regular event, but very tasty. Smooth, jammy and warm... just the way a port should be. Not as much raisin flavor as in traditional ports.Add winemaker's notes
Our goal at Consilience is simply to make the most expressive & reliably high quality wines possible, and to share them with an unsurpassed level of customer service. We hope our wines can always be part of your enjoyment of life, whether it’s during those contemplative times alone, or with the best of company.

Wine Tasting NotesWith a little more bottle age and maturity, the port makes a repeat appearance, though it seems to have sprouted devilish little horns as it tries to lure you into eating the whole box of those little cocoa covered chocolate truffles along with it. And it never tells anybody.
