What to Expect

Pinot Noir: Responsible for some of the greatest wines on earth - the exhausted red wines of France's Burgundy region. Pinot Noir is a notoriously fickle grape that expresses its origins like no other. It's a vine that needs to struggle to produce great wines but when it does the depth of flavors that range from cherry to cola can be explosive and the wines' bright acidity and gentle tannins make them approachable and widely appealing,

Winemakers Notes

"Plum and rasberry flavors, earthy. Very good. From the Colchauga Valley "

robust, has a bit of the welch's grape juice taste going

Deep dark black ripe cherry flavor. This is not a light pinot. It's pungent, punchy, big and bright.

The nose almost knocked me off my feet - dank wet wool, dripping dog and white pepper! Its a pretty pungent Pinot, but better in the mouth - nice use of oak (very oaky to be honest), decent tannins, very full bodied for a pinot, and that overriding note of white pepper. I'd pair this with something meaty - sausages and mash maybe...

Bright hot nose. Very sweet flavor, lightly plummy and peachy.
