Cono Sur Bicycle Carmenere 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

This wine’s deep, beautiful red-carmine colour is typical of the variety it represents so well. A delicious and velvety Carmenere, which displays red fruit aromas combining perfectly with spicy hints. In mouth it’s definitely an intense wine, tasty, juicy and elegant. Appreciate its excellent structure and a balanced acidity. It’s a good choice for almost any type of meat. Also, different kinds of pâté and cold cuts are a good option to begin with. A few dishes that go great with this wine are meat stews, sautéed lamb chops, lentils or beans soups, and stuffed tacos or burritos. As far as cheeses are concerned, it pairs well with blue cheeses, and hard ones like Asiago.

Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery was founded in 1993, with the vision of producing premium, expressive and innovative wines conveying the spirit of the New World. Our name refers to the company’s geographic position; it represents wines proudly made in South America’s Southern Cone, on whose western edge lies Chile and its gifted wine valleys. Our logo also evokes a freehand drawing of the silhouette of South America. Our quest is to present the world with the finest grape expression and character, from Chile’s varied wine regions.
