Absolutely delicious, a fat, sumptuous wine that flatters the palate from beginning to end. Smells plush, brimming with currants and fancy oak trimmings, and turns lush and complex with fruit in the mouth. Best to drink it soon, in the fullness of youth.
A beautiful, succulent young Cabernet-based Bordeaux blend that delivers plenty of flavor. It's front-loaded with blackberries, cherries, currants and chocolate. Delicious now, but it's a little too soft for the cellar. - S.H. The dark ruby/purple-hued 2006 Anthology, a Bordeaux varietal blend , exhibits austerity, elegance, and a compact, somewhat monolithic personality.
Exquisitely balanced, with ripe, rich, polished blackberry, black cherry and plummy flavors. Maintains a sense of elegance and grace, finishing with supple, fine-grain tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Drink now through 2010.
Appealing for its supple texture and bright, forward flavors mdash; layers of juicy cherry, currant, plum, and berry. Finishes with a spicy anise aftertaste and notes of tar, herb and cedary oak. Drinkable now if you look past its supple tannins, or age it into 1998 to 2002; it should only get more harmonious.

Firm and tannic but the ripe fruit flavors are pretty with plum, wildberry, and cherry notes filling out the sage and spice notes. Has the tannins to age into 1999.
