Very much a wine to be had with food rather than on its own. We had Chilli Con Carne and it was a very good match but later after eating it felt very bitter. Dark fruit, plum, tar, slightly smokey but quite herbal too. Not as think as I was expecting but its not a real fruity one to say the least.

Viognier from the tiny appellation called Condrieu. A dry white with opulent fruitiness and beautiful white floral fruit. The mineral aspect is most appealing and adds to the clean fresh fruit character.

A deliciously ripe Côte-Rôtie from some of the most ancient vines in France, being developed by the Romans. This is classically made, with brutish black fruit, cigar box, and black olive notes.
