Conde de Caralt Catalunya Vendimia Seleccionada 2002

Member Review by ryanopaz:

Not very intense but a very deep red color with some purple hints. Strange candied fruit nose with some hints of raw meat and a definate mineral streak running through it. Right up front is a wiff of anise like black pepper that is strange. Med weight in the mouth with a high level acid and light (green?) tannins. Spice, and cherry fruit, though a bit hard to drink due to the high acidity. Will wait a while and see what blows off. Nope this is gross and I think it's a unripe tannin. 3 yrs old and the tannins are still sharp and unpleasant. No thank you! alt score =1 c4a9t5o2=70 [70]
