92 points Josh Raynolds (IWC): Vivid raspberry, blackberry, anise and floral scents are fresh and pure. Juicy dark berry flavors are complemented by succulent herbs and dark chocolate, becoming sweeter with air. Leaves strong floral pastille and berry liqueur notes behind, finishing with excellent cut and precision. Very nicely focused wine.

Condado de Haza Crianza # 2006 - 05/26/10

This is quite bretty on the nose with tons of barnyardy complexity and notes of old wood and flowers. On the palate this is fresh with a pleasantly subtle bitterness to the cherry fruit. It’s easy styled and well balanced with black cherry and spice tones that drift from the mid-palate to the moderately long finish. The brett on the nose is going to be a huge turnoff to many. 87pts

Nice dark colour with lot of fruity aromas, coffee, tobacco and spicies, with vanila. Very well balanced but young with too liight body.

Condado de Haza Crianza # 2006 - 11/26/11

This is a bit closed initially. Nose is tight and muted at first as is the taste, though you can tell it will open shortly. Once it gets some air, deep cherry and cocoa on the nose. Palate opens to berries, a little leather and supple tannins. Nice wine, not overly complex it seems, but has nice burst of acidity at the end that really makes this a good food wine...try roast poultry or pork.

Dark purple color with earth, leather and cranberry nose with slight hints of seaweed and peat bog. Similar palate with some nice spice and pepper that trails off with a dry tannin/cedar finish. After breathing for an hour the nose is black cherry and currant with some slight hints of pepper. The palate is full ripe red fruits, cherry and currant with pepper notes and the cedar tannin is completely gone from the finish.

Mit Condado de Haza hat Altmeister Alejandro Fernandez seiner Erfolgsgeschichte ein weiteres Kapitel zugefügt. Dicht und konzentriert in der Farbe, im Geschmack intensiv und voll, unterlegt von feinen Eichennoten. Im Abgang lang und kompakt, mit feinen Gerbstoffen und einer lebendigen Säure.
Ein exzellenter Ribera.

IWC 92pts. - WA 91pts. - According to the International Wine Cellar: Bright ruby. Vivid raspberry, blackberry, anise and floral scents are fresh and pure. Juicy dark berry flavors are complemented by succulent herbs and dark chocolate, becoming sweeter with air. Leaves strong floral pastille and berry liqueur notes behind, finishing with excellent cut and precision. Very nicely focused wine. According to the Wine Advocate: Deep garnet purple colour. The nose is a little mute to begin, giving way to restrained aromas of vanilla, violets, dark cherry and black pepper. Though there s plenty of weight on the palate, an elegant style emerges, finely structured with medium to high acidity and a medium+ level of grainy tannins. Long savoury finish. Drink now to 2019.
