Concha y Toro Terrunyo Carmenere(2005)

Appearance: Bright. Colour: Dark and deep red with violet nuances. Nose: Very elegant, complex, strong character of Carmenere, red ripe fruit, spicy with hints of blackberries. Palate: Great structure, mouth-filling, sour chocolate, sweet tannins, powerful and concentrated. Dense, oily with lots of fruit giving a long finish. 85% Carmenere, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months (80% in new barrels, 20% in one year old barrels)

Had this with a meal at Fogo de Chao last week. Delicious and versatile. Was pretty much ready to go straight out of the bottle. Definately recommended... Wish I hadn't paid restaurant markup... ouch.
