- This Carmenere originates in Lot 21 of Concha y Toro's Peumo vineyards, an area noted for highly permeable, poor soil. A 12-year-old vineyard was selected, the oldest in the area. Yield per hectare was 35hl. Description: Bright, deep red in color; exhibits hints of chocolate, pepper and strong spices. Tasty and full-bodied, with strong tannins imparting the particular style of this very unique varietal which grows virtually nowhere else.
