Concha Y Toro Pinot Noir Terrunyo 2009
Dark, deep red in color, Terrunyo Carmenere has complex and elegant aromas of ripe red berries, plum, spice and a hint of tobacco. Powerful and concentrated fruit flavors reappear on the palate caressed in sweet tannins. Full in the mouth, with great structure and a lingering finish. Enjoy the distinctive taste of Terrunyo Carmenere with tomato-based pasta, game, duck, red meat and robust cheese.
absolutely fantastically smooth and full of flavors that fill up your palate perfectly
Had this with a meal at Fogo de Chao last week. Delicious and versatile. Was pretty much ready to go straight out of the bottle. Definately recommended... Wish I hadn't paid restaurant markup... ouch.
incredible! One of my all time favorite wines. Rich, earthy and herby, wonderful body with soft, silky smooth tannins. Better than some wines I have had costing over double the price. A truly unique and special creation!
Had this wine at Alfano's Restaurant. The combination of authentic Italian food and the mouth filling aromas and richness of this Carmenere was superb! What a delight!! Bright deep red, elegant and exotic. We brought 2 bottlles with us to enjoy at home. I highly recommend it.
I don't know why I picked up this bottle. Granted, $9 bottles of wine have their purpose (generally a night cap and a recork; sometimes a "look what I found" amazing value for me,). I guess I would have to say it's "OK," which is a great rating based on price. Light and a bit on the watery side, it shows some raspberry and I believe I am getting a little spice in the nose (eucalyptos???). Very light tannins and a surprisingly long finish. I definately like it, but I don't love it. This is the perfect bottle for Grandma's house or a gift you have to buy for someone you don't really give care a lot about. My rating: 82/100 My rating for the price: 89/100
