Concha Y Toro 'Mountain Range' Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Winemaker's Notes:

In the 1990s winemaker Ignacio Recabarren travelled to New Zealand to study their viticulture and winemaking. He returned filled with enthusiasm for Sauvignon Blanc and a determination to show what Chile could do. By planting on cooler sites and picking at optimum ripeness he has crafted a tremendous alternative to New Zealand's more herbaceous and grassy style - at a great price. Very pale straw colour, youthful and bright. Lively aromas of citrus, gooseberry and herbal notes. Fresh gooseberry, lime and tropical fruit flavours with a touch of cream and grapefruit on the finish together with crisp acidity. Young, vibrant and mouth-watering. Delicious with asparagus.
