Concha Y Toro Merlot Sunrise 2014

Member Review by cowdiddly:

Well the label didn't exactly lie it said the wine has persistence which it certainly has in abundance. The problem is the persistence is all bad. Seems like they overoaked this thing but I didnt know that Merlot was oaked for any lenth, Bitter finish smells welches grapy with slight hint of cherry and chocolate, Smell way better than it tasted. Garbage in a bottle but thats what you seem to get for 7 bucks,

Super dark, nose of charred game, leather, graphite and black berry. On entry this wine has a lean mouth feel followed spice and earthy notes on the mid palate. There is not a ton of fruit left but enough to balance the wines ample acidity. There is very little tannin in this inky wine that finishes turning a touch bitter.

Rubinrot mit Violettreflexen. Aromen nach Kirschen, Pfeffer und Kakao. Elegant, voller Körper mit einem anhaltenden Abgang.

Auge: leuchtendes Rubinrot; Nase: fruchtig und frisch, Erdbeeren, Vanille, Himbeeren; Gaumen: guter Körper, harmonisch, gut ausgewogen mit einem lang anhaltenden Abgang
