One of the best examples of the varietal I've ever tasted - 90% Carmenere with 10% Cab thrown in for grace notes. Full-bodied w/ powerful blackfruit and spice - and a little black pepper - and while almost 15% alcohol and rich, isn't an overwhelming fruit bomb. Nice finish and really smooth tannins. Just outstanding and marvelous value.

Great Value, won't astound but won't disappoint either. Smooth is the name of the game here...hints of chocolate, plum, and almond.

Good wine! Never expected to find strong fruit flavor in a Carmenere but this one has it! There's also that smoky flavor and bitter chocolatey aftertaste. Nice!

This is a great $10 bottle. It is full bodied and has some nice spicy flavors. It is deep red in color with enough tannins to keep this wine interesting.

Dark red in color. Flavors of dark fruits and herbs. Fine tannins and smooth. Chocolate and vanilla notes.

Starts with nice herbal aromas with hint of mint. Great color. Nice mouthfeel. Long finish. Still a bit young.

The Marques de Casa Concha series begins with the 2007 Carmenere which spent 16 months in French oak. Saturated purple in color, it offers up a splendid bouquet of toasty oak, tobacco, Asian spices, plum, and blueberry. Mouth-coating, layered, and bordering on opulent, there is plenty of ripe tannin lurking under the fruit, succulent flavors, and excellent balance. This awesome value will be at its best from 2012 to 2020.
