A nice wine for an nice but common dinner with some friends. Strong nice red color. Normal viscosity. I sensed nice blackberry, plum and some spicy kind of pepperish notes. Though intense not very complex to the nose. In mouth is dry, hot and with the right softness. I find it bodied but lacking some "hardness" like freshness and tannins.

It may have been abandoned in its Bordeaux home, but Carmenère has found a home and a new life in Chile. It makes red wines with good juicy fruit, freshness, flavors of ripe plums. This example, blended with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah, is a great wine just to drink, full of fruit, with a touch of toast, vanilla and smooth tannins.

A simple wine, this offers sweet cherry flavor packed in a light, velvety texture, green herbal notes adding freshness. For barbecue.

Winemaker's Notes:

The color of the wine is deep, dark purple. The wine is rich with dark plum, black currant, and chocolate aromas. On the palate, there are notes of dark plums and spice, generously framed by toasty American oak with a soft and well-structured mouth filling texture.
