What to Expect

Carmenère is one of a small group of wines that thrives in its adopted land but struggles to gain acceptance at home. It still is used on occasion in France's Bordeaux region where it adds color and complexity to blends with its distinctive mélange of smoky, herbal and gamy tones. In South America, particularly Chile, it ripens fully and the wines take on added layers of dark berry fruit that gives it a balance rarely achieved in France.

Im sure it's one of the best value for the price wines in Australia.
Chilean Carmenere is exquisite, and it's history even more, Carmener was thought extinct after a disease in the grape, but some years ago it was rediscovered in Chile and it absolutely blooms!
Try it and then try other Carmeneres.
