Concha Y Toro Carménère Casillero del Diablo 2009
One of my favorite wines. Period. Delicious, smooth and spicy. Long lasting finish. Great price, too.
2010 Xmas gift from Travis
Stevige en volle smaak, veel rood fruit (bessen, framboos. Afdronk iets houtigs (eiken ?).
Very smooth but nice depth. Holds good flavor after more than a day

Shows the grapersquo;s characteristic pepper and plum profile, with a fleshy mouthfeel and smoky finish. A nice introduction to Carmenegrave;re at the right price. Drink now.
Nice supple texture, with a mix of plum, cocoa, tobacco and vanilla. The smoky finish gains flesh as it opens. Drink now.
Concha y Toro produces a wide range of wines, and all of them are great! This Carmenere has dark, plummy fruit flavors enhanced by notes of mocha, oak, and spices.
A modestly structured version, with cocoa powder, currant paste, briar and tobacco notes backed by nice grip on the finish. What a value. Drink now through 2009.
Lots of fleshy plum and black cherry fruit, with pretty notes of vanilla, tobacco and lavender in the background. A good introduction to the grape. Drink now.
The 2007 Carmenere is an excellent introduction to this grape. Pleasant, ripe, and forward, it has plenty of blueberry and black raspberry flavors for casual quaffing over the next 2ndash;3 years.
Polished, with sweet vanilla toast guiding the plum, black cherry and tobacco notes. followed by a fleshy finish. Drink now.
