Concha Y Toro Cabernet Sauvignon Puente Alto Marqués de Casa Concha 2008
Deep red. Intense cherry, chocolate, black tar and smoked notes. The oak still cloaks its aromas, but in time all the fruit should develop greater complexity. A smooth, almost silky texture masks the firm tannic structure beneath, which only comes to the fore when the long finish begins to unravel.
Really lasted well and developed better than the more heralded '07. Blackberry and a tart choke cherry, with spice and chocolate on the nose lead to a plate that is somewhat dry with slightly chewy tannins and balanced aciditty. Drink now Paul 90 points
I can see this wine turning amazing if paired with some goat cheese. Woody and delicious bouquet on the nose Medium body, light tannins, buttery taste. Finishes smooth.

Rock-solid, with nicely integrated structure for the vintage, allowing the full-bodied core of loam, blackberry, fig sauce and raspberry to stretch out, with lingering mint and cocoa notes on the plush, fleshy finish. Drink now through 2011. 72,000 cases made. -JM
