Winemaker's Notes:
TASTE : Fine, elegant and complex, firm tannins providing great volume and length. VARIETY : Cabernet Sauvignon. VINEYARD : Puente Alto. HARVEST : Manual. SOIL : Alluvial. CLIMATE : Winkler Zone II. BARREL : 12 months in French oak. COLOR : Deep ruby red. BOUQUET : Ripe plums, cassis, chocolate and tobacco, well-integrated hints of vanilla. Precipitation : May-April : 136.4 mm Maximum Temp. : May-April : 22.6 °C Minimum Temp. : May-April : 7.3 °C Average Temp. : May-April : 14.9 °C Sunlight Exposure : Sept.-April : 3,855.4 cal/cm2 Alcohol : 13.90% Total Acidity : 3.14 g/L pH : 3.78 HARVEST Balanced weather imparted great roundness to tannins in the vineyard while careful lot tending ensured optimum ripeness. Grapes were manually picked through the month of April and were vinified at the Puente Alto facility. During fermentation and maceration we sought to bring out the full range of aromas and concentrations and ensure a balanced, harmonious, complex result. Attentive fermentation and proper contact with wood made this possible. Highly expressive of the strength of the Puente Alto vineyard, this wine’s strength and length provide exceptional aging potential.
