Concannon Vineyard Merlot Central Coast Selected Vineyards 2008
From the bouquet of this Merlot emerge notes of cherry and deep blackberry, which promise wonderful flavors as it opens right up on the palate with hints of black pepper, cherry pie, and blackberry jam. The finish of this medium-bodied Merlot offers soft tannins and earthy undertones. An extremely food friendly wine, the finish is supple, and clean. Enjoy with your favorite beef or veal dish, cranberry glazed pork chop, braised leg of lamb, spinach and feta pizza, or prosciutto wrapped shrimp.

From cool-climate vineyards comes this hearty country red. It gets the job done with cherry-berry and earthy-spicy flavors, in a nicely dry and balanced package. Has the personality for everything from cheeseburgers to a sizzling steak.
This amazing value wine has many of the attributes of a far costlier Merlot. It's ripe in plum, blackberry and dark chocolate fruit, with complex but fine tannins and a rich overlay of smoky oak. Hard to believe they can release it at this price.
A smooth, easy-drinking Merlot that's perfect for an evening nightcap. Soft, almost imperceptible tannins envelop dusty red and black fruit flavors, accented by baking spices and a hint of chocolate. A consistently good value.
There sure is plenty of ripe fruit in this wine. It's stuffed with cherries, blackberries and cocoa, and is soft and gentle in the mouth.
