Note: My notes just say "2006 Concannon Merlot ($11)". Rich blueberry nose. Smooth. Chocolate and mint. Dusty. Medium body and acid, light tannin. Pomegranate.

From cool-climate vineyards comes this hearty country red. It gets the job done with cherry-berry and earthy-spicy flavors, in a nicely dry and balanced package. Has the personality for everything from cheeseburgers to a sizzling steak.
There sure is plenty of ripe fruit in this wine. It's stuffed with cherries, blackberries and cocoa, and is soft and gentle in the mouth.
Soft and juicy, with toasty cherry and herb aromas and spicy flavors. Drink now.
A smooth, easy-drinking Merlot thatrsquo;s perfect for an evening nightcap. Soft, almost imperceptible tannins envelop dusty red and black fruit flavors, accented by baking spices and a hint of chocolate. A consistently good value.
This amazing value wine has many of the attributes of a far costlier Merlot. It's ripe in plum, blackberry and dark chocolate fruit, with complex but fine tannins and a rich overlay of smoky oak. Hard to believe they can release it at this price.
